Business Development Manager

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to help expand our portfolio and build lasting client relationships. This position requires the candidate to be based in the Palm Springs or Los Angeles area to focus on local opportunities. While the role is remote and does not require regular office attendance, the candidate should be available for local travel to meet clients, attend events, and represent the firm.
Job Duties include (but not limited to):
- Create and develop a plan for an execution of a comprehensive business development strategy to attract new clients and projects in the Palm Springs area, with occasional outreach in Los Angeles.
- Identify and pursue leads in targeted sectors (e.g., residential, commercial, hospitality, etc.)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, developers, contractors, and industry partners, with a primary focus on the Los Angeles and Palm Springs market.
- Represent the firm at industry events, networking functions, and conferences to promote our brand.
- Collaborate with the design team to understand project capabilities and align them with market opportunities.
- Prepare presentations and marketing materials tailored to client needs.
- Track and analyze business development metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably in architecture, design, or a related industry.
- Strong network of contacts in the Palm Springs or Los Angeles real estate, construction, or architecture sectors; familiarity with the Los Angeles market is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to think strategically and identify opportunities aligned with the firm’s expertise and goals.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of design tools is a plus.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
